Split Pitch

A future-release duology where fracture, possibility,
and survival collide. Coming 2027. Written by Anna Talyn.

Pitch (Book 1)

A grounded urban fantasy about movement, pressure, and becoming. The first release in the Split Pitch duology.

Split (Book 2)

Before the rupture becomes a pattern, it is only a crack. The chronological prequel to Pitch. Read Pitch first. Split comes second, even though it begins earlier.

The Science

A liminal magic system built from physiology, psychology, physics, and astrophysics.

Split (Book 2)

Set before Pitch, Split explores the earlier break in the world beneath the story: the pressure, damage, and lived consequences that come before understanding. It is a grounded, character-driven look at what happens when change begins quietly and still manages to split everything open.

Pitch (Book 1)

In Pitch, changing reality is not a mystical gift. It is a biological event with consequences. Set against buses, lockers, softball fields, and minimum-wage shifts, the novel follows a teenager learning that survival, identity, and human connection are messier and more powerful than any fantasy of control.

The Science of Split Pitch

The Split Pitch liminal magic system is inspired by the physiology and psychology of human change, then expanded through physics and astrophysics into an original speculative framework. Rooted in ideas first explored in The Possibility of Happy, it treats possibility as a biological and physical event rather than a mystical one.In this world, the nervous system becomes an engine, emotion becomes fuel, thought becomes vector, and reality shifts through pressure, motion, thermodynamics, and consequence.Change leaves a mark on both the body and the environment.

The Node Net

The Node Net is the system watching for probability disturbances as they ripple through ordinary life.
